US Open Raffle to benefit A Child's Place

This year, the Carolina BrewMasters will be donating 100% of the proceeds from our raffle to A Childs Place who provide help for homeless children.

Registration for the 2012 US Open is now live.

Registration for the Rein Stein competition and Gambrinus Cup are integrated into the main registration page. To enter your Dunkelweizen or Rauchbier in the Rein Stein competition, enter them in category 15B for Dunkelweizen and 22A for Rauchbier. All entries in these categories will be judged for category ribbon AND the Rein Stein.

2012 Olde Mecklenburg Brewery "Rein Stein" Competition

OMB styles this year are BJCP styles 15B - Dunkelweizen and 22A - Rauchbier. The winning entry will be brewed and served in the tap room at Olde Mecklenburg brewery and will also be entered at the GABF!

The beer will be judged to the BJCP guidelines and have no restrictions or limitations, however, the following yeasts are recommended:

2012 Gambrinus Cup

The 2012 Gambrinus Cup will be a Black "IPA", Cascadian Dark Ale or American Black Ale. No matter what you call it, it will be in its own category and the winning entry will be brewed by Foothills Brewery and served at the NC Renaissance Festival in Concord, NC!

Charlotte US Open 2012

This years US Open will be May 19th 2012 at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. Not all the details have been decided yet, so there is a very small chance this information could change.

We will need volunteers to help with planning. All positions could use an Assistant if you would like to help but don’t know where to start.
